PLN Challenge Interview with: Mike Hogan

This post will seem like a bit of, what the French call, "a parentheses" from my usual posts on this blog.

In May 2011, Brad Patterson challenged us to dig deeper in our ELT friendship circle and choose someone to interview.  Hence the PLN* Interview Challenge. You can follow all the interview updates here. For other groovy uses for the acronym PLN, click here.
*PLN: Personal Learning Network.

I chose to interview Mike Hogan.  THE guy who took all those awesome IATEFL Brighton pics. THE guy we can rely on to back up the BESIG (Business English Special Interest Group of IATEFL) Online Team. THE guy who tweets some interesting stuff and is just an all around fun-lovin' colleague.

I was thrilled to find out we have a lot in common, which is why this interview idea is just fab.  We both love acting, love teaching, we're both obsessed with his wallpaper, we both love jokin' around with Skype (hence the goofy photo shoot we did at the end of the video. See how much you and Mike have in common by watching this PLN Interview Challenge video.

And....Action!

  3. Your interview was fun and it allowed me to get to know 'Irish' Mikey better. I've only had the chance to meet him in passing at BEsig events.

    Great interview.

  4. Just saw this blog post. It was so funny watching Mike. I love the Irish twang with the slight German accent.
